About Centre for Population Health

In health and care, there is great ambition for improving population health and tackling health inequalities, much evidence making a compelling case for change, and a number of policies that increasingly set out the aspirations. But, it is often hard for staff working in health and care (whether frontline clinicians, board level executives, or newer whole systems partnerships) to know where to start or how best to make progress from wherever they are at. 

And that is where we come in...

We are a caring and dedicated group of experts who cover a breadth of health and care sectors and specialisms including frontline care, lived experience, community leadership, system leadership, public health, population health and equity, academic insights and business reform. Durka (our CEO) is a professor of public and population health who is dual trained as a doctor and also a leadership and organisational development expert. 

We have a passion for working with people to help create a better and more equal future.  We believe that the power is with people - staff and communities - to truly achieve this. We understand what it takes in practice to implement successful change for population health and equity. And we enjoy working with individuals or teams across all sectors of health and care to help them progress their own efforts towards this.
