Edward is a passionate population health leader with knowledge, experience and expertise on improving population health, population health management (PHM), transformation, tackling health inequalities and healthcare quality at a local, regional, national and global level. He has extensive public health experience which includes working as a Director of Public health for a unitary local authority in the UK, a consultant in public health/epidemiologist and health care quality expert for the north east region of England and as a global health consultant.
Edward is very committed to and passionate about improving population health outcomes and quality of life through prevention, early intervention and equitable access to healthcare. He is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills, a sought after keynote speaker, facilitator and executive coach. Edward has a strong track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams and continues to demonstrate the ability to initiate and successfully managing large scale change.
His special interests are in lifestyle medicine, PHM, big data for healthcare #datasaveslives, public policy and its impact on population health outcomes, applied health economics, healthcare quality and addressing inequities in health outcomes gained from working in different settings. Edward has very strong interests in academia and leadership development and is involved in teaching, training, coaching and mentoring colleagues in the U.K., UAE and sub-Saharan Africa.
