Primary care offers a tremendous opportunity for driving improvement in population health and equity. Situated in the heart of local communities, primary care remains a valued source of care and support for countless communities nationally. Despite the widely publicised challenges in primary care, skilled and dedicated staff work tirelessly to meet people's needs. The evolving model of primary care (for example new roles and increasing focus on social prescribing) creates opportunity for unlocking great improvements in population health and equity. But to do this well requires new ways of working and thinking that are not often part of primary care training.
But with support, we know that a huge amount is possible. And we can say this from our position not only as leadership development experts but also as primary care and public health clinicians who know from our own experience what has been possible.

Primary Care Leadership Development
