Our Manifesto

The health and care system in England, and more globally, delivers great things every day, thanks to the humbling efforts of great people who give so much to make this possible.

But the model of health and care is struggling to meet current let alone future needs, often due to over focus on treatment rather than prevention.

We know that groups of people (staff and communities) have inequitable access to opportunities, care and support, recognition or equal treatment.

We know there is much possible with the digital era and technology.

And there is much needed to get the basics right too.

For example, to fundamentally put back into the heart of the health and care system a deep sense of values (love, kindness, respect, care, meaning) so that everyone experiences this daily in all they do. And, the need to recognise and unlock the sheer untapped potential that exists from just changing the power dynamics and handing power to those with real potential to bring about a better and more equal tomorrow: staff and communities.

We are a not-for-profit organisation made up of individuals who have each been working to address this through our various individual roles and efforts. We have come together to accelerate our efforts for delivering this change. We represent clinical frontline workers, academics, community members, leadership development experts, and many others who have teamed up together across sectors to help bring about this change.

We focus on three things:

Developing Leaders • Improving Lives • Creating Equity

To do this we drive forwards five things in particular:

• Values-Centred Leadership

• Population Health Leadership

• Leadership for Equity and Inclusion

• Community and Workforce Leadership

• Transformational Leadership

for individuals and systems. You will see these five threads woven into all the work we do.

We do not have all the answers. Through this process we will learn and adapt along the way. But we do have open minds, deep care, experience and expertise, our networks and our ideas, and a great willingness to work together and with others to do whatever we can to help create a better and more equitable future for all.

We hope that you will join us on this journey as a valued partner and friend.
